Isn't that Veni, vidi, coqui? For the folks in our TV audience, I'm
positing "I came, I saw, I cooked", rather than "I came, I cooked, I
conquered." Both sound good to me.
You know, it's a shame that they wait so long to explain to early
Latin students that Caesar, famous through much of history as a
crushing bore, was _trying_ to be a crushing bore, and otherwise had
quite a sense of humor.
But I'm a Saint Lawrence man, myself ;-)
