[Sca-cooks] OOP: Stove info wanted

The one we have is vented directly to the outside..I have cabinets set over
the vent/fan, and the flu goes directly to the outside wall rather than up
through the roof.  There are two fan speeds and two light levels on the
hood.

     How do these work?  I don't recall seeing them as a part of the stove
itself.  Am I going to have to get a contractor to cut through the wall and
install ductwork out the roof?  This the opposite end of the house from the
furnace ductwork, so I can't just hook into that.  I have two small cabinets
over the stove now, and haven't had any problem with them getting dirty (but
then I haven't tried scrubbing them either).  Of course that may be due to
the fact that the current stove is electric.  <sigh>  This is more
complicated than I thought.
