Rereading what I have written about Carolus Clusius and the white potato, I
note that I have left an ambiguity which may cause error and puzzlement.  It
"references" mentioned in the second paragraph are in sources other than
"Food: A Culinary History."  The error in that reference sent me looking for
other errors about the potato.
