Well...I realize this is society wide, and all, but I also think you may
have a larger share of silly people. I can tell you that I have experienced
both, and I just try to see the best in people and try to ignore those who
aren't. I try to be somewhat of an example, though in no way shape or form
am I perfect. Lead as much by example as you can...do your best and try to
find your fun anyhow. I'm sure you're doing this now. :)

I could also give you some examples of chiverlary. Our current King, for
example (who is a knight and a Duke) has done a LOT of things I've seen that
he didn't have to (including suggesting picking up our Eric for us). And if
you want hand kissing, while THL Jared Alexandre Blaydeau (hi Jared) has
been extremely knightly with me, I will NEVER forget how he sang to his
lady, Dame Selene Colfox. It was SO romantic AND everything I think that
the SCA should be about (I'm tearing up right now thinking of how they
looked at each other).

Yeah, yeah, I'm a sloppy romantic, but I know I try to find my "perfect"
society, whether I create it or I look for it in my friends. Hopefully by
being the best person you can be, that sooner or later, good will come from
it. At least I hope so.
