Sigh. yes, after reading this and re-reading the message I see that
is what she probably meant.

In my barony we've been calling these the Lady's Solar. Which was
apparently the period name for a similar gathering, where the Ladies
would get together in the "Solar" and discuss women's things and
embroider and such. In our case, I think they've been open of gentles
of either (or neither?) sex.
