I don't necessarily think they baked bread everyday however, if I was a
housewife in early 1500's Italy, I would probably get fresh bread every day
from a commercial bakery.  and.....  I *want* fresh bread everyday when I'm
camping.  Since we are mostly doing flatbreads, it's relatively easy to do.
Usually I fire up the coleman and make biscuits, rolls or cinnamon buns in
the coleman oven but since we're switching over to period cooking methods
this won't work any more, sigh... and it was sooooo easy!

Thanks for the links, as much as I crawl through the florilegium I never
find everything as easily as when you happily provide links.  I don't
suppose you are a mundane librarian?  I asked DH for one for Christmas <LOL>
