Congrats! I'm starting a new job, too, as a sous Chef at South Seas
Plantation on Captiva island.
The commute's not as bad, about 30 miles, but the speed limit on most of
it is 25 mph . . . I have to drive half the length of Estero island, get on
the main road, then across the Sanibel causeway, and up the entire length of
both Sanibel and Captiva Islands. Then another 2 miles at 15 mph through the
resort itself . . .. Scenic, but slow, and I hate to think of what it's
going to be like when tourist season hits . . .
The pay's not bad, the benefits OK, but the opportunity for advancement
is slightly awesome. It's one of the Ameristar chain, so they have resorts
EVERYWHERE.
And it'll be nice not working for cheap bastards for a change . . .

    Sieggy
