I have taken a look in my various food in art books and most serving
dishes seem to be oval or round... some seem to be rectangular with
rounded corners. Didn't find square corners.

This is one of those sorts of questions like Huette's question earlier
this year on tablecloths that isn't well served by the indexing. I'll
file it and if I come across something definitive or a nice image with a
rectangular serving dish or tray I'll let you know.
