I can appreciate the pain/effort.

I recently (September 27, 2002) rejoined this list.
Since then I must have blinked or something, and
now have 387 unread messages that I must read --
to find that nugget of truth or wisdom that each
bears.

OTOH, I rejoined SCA-East on October 16, 2002 and
now have over 1300 unread messages -- mostly about
a subject that I will NOT introduce here.
