Reminds me of the time I saw the word "owens" on a
whiteboard.   The conversation went ...

What's "owens" mean?

I was told, "You know, the owens."

"No, I don't."

The system programmers' then related a meeting with
their manager who said, "... if [this project] was
late, they weren't putting the owens on him."
