No (stuff), there I was...

My wife and I had been married for maybe a month when a friend of ours
decided she could no longer take care of her LARGE friendly cat, Cuddles,
and had asked us to take care of him for her. We were living in a
third-story apartment at the time and had just returned from the grocer's.
As we were hauling groceries into the apartment, we were just putting them
on the kitchen table and heading back out for another load. When we came
back with the third load, we found Cuddles on the table eating the broccoli
with great gusto.

This same cat, a few weeks later, devoured an entire Garlic Bagel by
himself, leaving not a crumb to be found.
