[Sca-cooks] sugar substitutes, may be off topic

*I* never saw it before this year...
if it is old hat it wasnt available in any of MY stores before......
everything out there has been Aspartame, or Sacharine.  (and Sacharine was
hard to find)

part of the problem is that now Aspartame is marketed under so many names
that people would get confused.

the Splenda i found works great in cold beverages.. they say you can cook
with it, but all i know is my HOT tea doesnt sweeten right with it.

maybe they re formulated the Acesulfame K stuff to taste better?? i know
both Splenda and Diabetasweet have a mix of ingredients.. including some to
affect flavor.
