[Sca-cooks] Musk flavor?

Dunno if i asked back in October, can't remember, but anyway... Has
anyone ever run across musk flavor for food? The hope of finding some
is what led to the great Australian musk lifesaver quest.

Various Medieval Near Eastern recipes call for musk, camphor, and
some other uncommon flavors. While i can find synthetic musk
essential oil, it's not food safe and the cost of real musk is
prohibitive. I *had* some natural camphor, but haven't been able to
find any more, and all i can find are basically sort-of camphor
scented moth repellant, nasty chemicals.
