I went this weekend, and it is quite a nice show. In addition to the paintings, they also had a small display of early manuscripts from the Dutch areas of NY - van Renasalear's family collection, that sort of thing. Pages looked spotty, just like my family cookbook (grin). They also located and exhibited examples of plates, platters, kettles, jugs that were in the paintings. Quite a lot seems to have come from Phillipsburgh Manor in Tarrytown. I'm glad I made the effort to get there--normally Albany's a bit outside my usual museum range.
