Ok,

I know this sounds stupid but I didn't put anything on my hands last
night (except soap and water after bathroom trips) and my skin is doing
a reasonable job at exfoliating itself.

I'll help it along tonight with a gentle exfoliate cream.  It's not
coming away very easily from under and to the side of the nails, but the
rest is slowing coming off fine...
