I have seen that too- it appears to be a cast Iron cauldron/pot on long
legs.
just the thing for cooking soup/stew over the fire?
There is a certain camping business imports them to the US,
can't recall who off the top of my head,
but it is around somewhere..lemme go look.

i just got a copy of "the portable baker" by jean and
samuel spangenberg. it was sugested by someone on this
list(lost the name but thank you).very cool book.
it talks about a boma cooker but i can't find any
thing(beond one line in a fishing mag)about it.it's
south african.
is there a importer to the usa?
has any one used one?
