Oh, I know gum tracaganth *in general* is edible - I just don't think that
the stuff they sell for leather would be "food grade", and *I* wouldn't eat
it... it's like eating the flowers from the florist - who knows what kind of
chemicals are in it?

It must be edible, because we use it for sugaring flowers at work and no one
has died yet from eating said flowers. Ours was purchased (probably a long
time ago) from Talas, 104 5th Ave, NY NY 10011
