I wash my nasty coffee thermos in the dishwasher,
upside down in the lower rack on the pot cycle,
running it through twice if it needs it. It is a
sturdy steel thermos and this method seems to work
quite well. My water is VERY HOT, since the dishwasher
heats the water up over what comes from the tap. And I
always used Cascade brand powder, the newest "no need
to rinse or scrub super complete formula" in the
silver and blue box. The extra price is worth the
superior results.
