I think Gunthar would tell you, or any other peer for that matter, that
even if you're the king and you _can_ make a peer against the wishes of teh
order, that doesn't mean it is a good idea. That person, however hard they
try, will always be known as a KGB (King's Good Buddy) or worse. It is the
worst thing you can do to someone, to force them on an order that doesn't
want them. It is very unusual for the order to come around and change their
mind when this happens.

Just a bad idea all around.

Once in awhile though, someone with significant (but not overwhelming or
unanimous) opposition actually turns out to be a good peer, and gradually
folks relax a bit. But that is once in awhile.
