Being a crazed fan of all things pointy, I had to examine this offer.
The ChefStar line has "synthetic" handles, no rivets nor tang visible, and are
"stamped" [not forged?] out of high-carbon stainless steel. $21.95 US
The Precision line has wooden handles in "black" or "walnut" polymer handles,
Full tang, triple rivet handle construction. High carbon stainless steel, no
sign of the word "stamped" at least. $24.91 US
The Provence line, on the other hand, boasts: High-carbon stainless steel
blades, Beautiful, red-stained wood handles, Hand-forged in France.

Other web sites carry the nice wood handled sets in the $300-500 range.

Frankly, I think the "list prices" on Amazon are largely inflated as compared
with other web sites that carry Sabatier knives, and the $21 set is completely
bottom-of-the-line. Don't feel bad Vicente, your wife deserves better.
