The grapefruit, once believed to be a mutation of the pummelo, is now
considered to be an accidental hybrid between the pummelo and the orange.
Since, the pummelo was only introduced to the Caribbean (from Polynesia) in
1696, the 150-200 lead time you suggest is a low order probability.
