I'm not quite sure what Phlip is talking about.
The Ram's Head she is talking about is a brass ram's head, about the size of a
small fist, with a hole in the neck to put a staff, which I bought at TFYC.
The charge on my coat of arms is a ram's head (see the picture on the
Florilegium site). A year or two ago, I bought a pair of red garnets and had
them mounted in bezels and then soldered into the empty eye sockets. Actually
looks rather diabolical now. Especially when the light hits them right, and
they sort of glow. At this last Gulf Wars I found and bought a five foot
carved, wooden staff of unknown wood to mount it on. Since a five foot wooden
staff is not the easiest thing to ship to Pennsic by mail or in my airline
luggage, and since I can't really see a pressing need to have it at Pennsic,
the staff is not likely to find its way to Pennsic anytime soon.
