I thought the Scots invented Cricket and gave it to the Brits because they
knew the Brits could never hit a ball the size of a golf ball with a club,
so they gave them cricket. Also Golf only lasts for a morning where as
Cricket game can go on for weeks, thus distracting the Brits from minor
raids into Northern England.
