Nah, not irony. A bit of volcanic silt maybe... ;-)

Actually , Crater Lake scares me. Just shy of 2000 feet deep, steep sloping
sides, and cold. If you fall in, they'll never recover the body. But the
Summits uses some water from the lake (Grail Lake to us) in the Investiture
ceremony, which is way cool (I helped write that part).
