Well, you have good timing. :-) I just catalogued one of my books this
afternoon which is on the history of pewter. I have now catalogued 740
of my books. I will give a more extensive report later, but I am using
a computer program (available for PCs and Linix as well as the Mac)
called Readerware, which once it has the ISBN or Library of Congress
number will search the web and come up with the title, author etc. Much
easier and faster than typing it all in, which is what I had been
doing. If you buy the package of three programs (the other do CDs and
videos) it comes with a barcode reader which will read in the barcode
on many of the latest books, so you can even avoid typing the ISBN in.
About $85 for the package if I remember right. About $40 for just the
Readerware program.
Anyway, the book on pewterware is:
Pewter: A Celebration of the Craft 1200-1700
Hornsby, Peter R.G.
0-904818-36-5
Museum of London
1989
