I am sorry, the following notes correspond with the numbers in the recipie.

(43) Thin, short noodles.
(44) This seems to be a scribal error, repeating the opening phrase of the previous recipe. Rice often needs to be
rinsed and to have foreign objects removed from it; noodles do not.

Make sense now?
