[Sca-cooks] WAR!

I do, Thorbjorn, and even those not in the SCA who serve.  The brother
of my SCA nephew had his reserve unit called up Monday night; you
probably heard the King of the East was called up a couple of weeks ago,
and Duke Stephen of Bellatrix, whom I've known since he was short, is
stationed in Europe already.  I wonder how many SCA members are going to
be involved this time.  The SCA seems to have a major share in this
combat; but then, that's the kind of folks we are.

During Desert Storm, my Lady Wife gave a Marine friend a friendship
favor to carry into real battle, and his tank was the second one over
the line -- the first blew up.  He brought back the favor covered in
tank oil and glory, and he keeps it with his Navy Cross.

It's a real shame the US and Iraq can't have an SCA-style "war" where
everybody fights all day with non-lethal weapons and parties together at
night.
