Our University Chancellor, a sweet lady named Ysolte, gifted me with two
cuttings of violets that she's had for years (she takes the plants with her
every time she moves) because of their name... "rosine". I'm anathema for
plants, but I'll be darned if these ones aren't flourishing, even under my
care. And their scent is *wonderful*.
