Considering the nature of some of the opposition, I think the mail policies
may become even more stringent.

We have seen the U.S. Postal system used a delivery system for weapons grade
anthrax.  Sending a package of deadly goodies would have better target
accuracy than most missles and would certainly cause difficulties for the
people in the field.  The posted payload doesn't have to be lethal to really
disrupt field operations.

With the name, rank and duty information which has been popping up in the
newspapers, it wouldn't take much field intelligence to get around even this
simple safeguard policy.  The way to reduce the possibility of contamination
is to limit the input to the system and try to authenticate the origin of
the packages you do take in as from family members.
