Hmm, looking at the larger picture, it is clearly a montage of sorts,
showing the production of the meal from the slaughtering outside, to the
final setting of the table. The boy may be inflating a bladder? Kind of
hard to tell from the picture. Check out the size of the colander/sieve he
is sitting on though.
