Johnae and Adamantius were discussing Terry Nutter's pages:

Let me introduce y'all to the Wayback Machine (evil grin). Never
underestimate the power of boredom at work on a useless Friday once the
day's derring-do has been filed in Court...

There's this website: http://www.archive.org

which has a little box where you plug an _ex_ URL. One that has gone to
meet its little bit bucket in the sky. Then, use the little click-it box
next to it to indicate "Wayback Machine."

This neat little gizmo (all 27 or so terabytes of it; I believe the
entire Library of Congress is about 16 terabytes...) that maintains
nothing but an URL archive. There is a significant drawback-- ya gotta
know the exact original URL of the lost webpage as there is no index nor
does the search engine recognize meta tags.

So, if your bookmark files have the original URL listed, just plug it in
and see whatchya get. ;) Report, please...

I miss her erudition and delightfully dry wit still.

(being USEFUL! today)
