Not to mention the extensive water sprinkling going on to keep the non-xeriscape lawns and trees going.  That works for a while, until the salt in the sub-soil starts leaching to the surface due to overwatering...
So, the Urban areas have higher humidity levels than the Rural areas, it's usually a whopping 20% humidity in Downtown.
