I've always described the show as a cross between a cooking show,
Mighty Morphing Power Rangers, and the Roman gladiatorial games, hosted
by a Japanese version of Elvis.

Through the careful loaning of taped episodes, I've managed to addict a
couple of cow-orkers who aren't even into cooking.
