Maddalena replied to me when I asked about an SCA-cooks get-together at

Gulf Wars with:

I'm afraid I don't quite understand your comment.

Are you saying getting the SCA-Cooks get-together, usually a pot luck

dinner, is the problem? How are you getting back and forth from the
hotel to the Gulf Wars site?
Others in your party would be welcome to join in the festivities. It has
never been restricted to just those on the SCA-Cooks list. We have generally
opened it to anyone interested in period cooking or food. And because of
the low turnout the last two years, I've combined it with other groups which
were having pot lucks at the same time. Provided there is enough food for
everyone, especially those who have taken the time and expense to bring
one, I don't see a problem with others coming.

If it helps to have some place on-site to store some items, please talk

to me. My wife and I will have our 17 x 17 pavilion there again this year,
so we have room to store some items there out of the weather if you don't
want to lug them back and forth to the hotel. We are back at end of camp
in the Ansteorra area just before the Early Period Encampment, so it might
not be as convenient as some areas, but perhaps better than hauling things
back and forth from the car.
Also, if someone needs to warm something up for the get-together, we will
have our propane stove available. Depending on what gets organised, it may
be in camp though and I may not haul it all the way over to the class tents or
wherever the get-together is.
