I gather the food at Treasure Island is great (California veggies
year-round), while Parris Island is pretty bad.  So sayeth the stepsons,
jarheads both.

The galley on a Liberty ship is run by the Army, so I never got any Naval
chow.  With one exception, Royal Navy.  Avoid.
