[Sca-cooks] Living history any one?

It was Frontier House, and I loved it! Oh those spoiled Beverly hills twits
who whined about no make-up constantly. I was so glad to see that their
stores weren't ready for winter...

The Victorian show was "1900 House"

Then there was another filmed in the US, i forget the name, Prairie
House? Three families homesteading in Montana in late 1800s style,
competing with each other to some extent, to see who would survive
the winter. They didn't actually have to live there in the winter,
but the "judges" could tell by what stores they'd set by, the health
of their animals (if they had any left), and other things, at the end
of summer/beginning of fall.

One thing is, though, the producers of these types of shows do NOT
want re-creators or re-enactors. They want "just plain folks".
