MESSAGE:

One of the seriously cool things about getting involved in the SCA is
that I'm finally meeting people who don't think I have too many books.
In fact, many don't even think I have a lot of books. I've known college
professors who thought I had a lot of books...

I don't. I don't have half as many as my parents did...

Like you, I think the SCA  acceptance of book collectors mania is a good thing.

On telly the other week, on "WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE" there was a bloke who had nearly a thousand books -- OOH!  AAHHH!

My reaction:  That's not many! - I stopped counting at about 3,000!!! and that was like 10 years ago....

With books - I have 2 pet peeves - people who borrow and don't return (so now I don't lend) and people who whisper "have you actually read them all?"  well yeah - why else would I have them???
