[Sca-cooks] Phillipa's HTML problems

Well, for ages, I got your messages in with a note "Clear Day Removed"
or some such, and plain text. This last week or so, I am getting your
background, and an alternate font. Your messages today don't have the
background, but do have the alternate font, and it is blue.

It's not a huge problem for me, I get HTML, but I know some readers
don't get it well. I used to have trouble with it loading comparatively
slowly, and disliked it for that reason, but that didn't happen here.
And I don't know how the digest works on this list - I was on one, once,
where, on the digest, I got all the HTML code... sometimes I got the
message twice, once with HTML code (and almost unreadable) and once in
plain text. That got old fast.

In general, it's better to send in plain text, if you can. (I gather
some programs make it hard.) My Netscape permits me to select certain
addresses or domains that get only plain text, you might look to see if
yours has something like that. Mailing lists are read by people with a
wide variety of servers and readers, and it's hard to tell who can read
what. For example, my New Name is actually Ællin... but I know it
doesn't work for everyone, and I want them to be able to read it, so...
I remain
