It's worth noting that the term "cookie" is probably out of period in
English. There are period recipes that produce things that someone
might decribe as a cookie, although I can't think of any that come
very close to what I see as the "generic cookie"--i.e. something
similar to a chocolate chip cookie, a peanut butter cookie, or the
like.
