More along the idea of an English "cracker" that gets pulled with a teeny
explosion -- a tour de force. :-) Grand and old meant that it was a
venerable "splash" to liven up a meal! ;-)

I don't know about providing tums to the diners -- the cooks might take it
amiss! :-))
