Anybody here NOT cooking this weekend?  :)
This just came across our Kingdom list.  How many other countries have a
holiday just for cooks?  (What's that you say, it *isn't* an official
holiday for cooks?  Are you sure?)

Well, a friend thought this was good enough to send on to the Yard. I will
not state his name, in order to protect him from your wrath.
Its just a little something I dashed off this morning...and it shows. :/

Twas the Monday before Thanksgiving,
and all through the house,
Folks were stuffing themselves,
In hopes of cleaning the refrigerator out.
Out meatloaf and salad,
And chicken and oranges,
On tortillas and pitas,
Go apples and cheeses.
Leftovers and jellies,
And greens by the mountains,
Must all be removed and not a mote wasted.
So on goes the microwave
And the toaster oven,
Cheese toast and soup pots
All are a-bubbling.
Now our frugal thoughts are fulfilled,
And our miserly hearts are thrilled,
We say to one and all,
Bring on the Turkey and all of the dressing!
The sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce,
And all of the fixings!
There's room for it all,
To be stored just right,
So we may have sandwiches,
All though the night!!!
