[Sca-cooks] Hillel sandwiches

On another list, someone mentioned that Hillel
sandwiches are ancient and the first true
sandwiches.  Being the good shikse that I am, I
have no idea if this is true or not.  Can any of
our Jewish experts please inform me about Hillel
sandwiches and their history?
