Would that "separate feast for him" be just a single serving; 
or two; or would it be for the entire high table?

No, it is not.  He is your king and if he has made a specific 
dietary choice, and his wishes have been communicated to you, 
then from a standpoint of duty and courtesy, it must be 
carried out, exactly as requested.

As I said above, if that is his actual request ... fulfill it 
100% for him and all others that he specifies.
