Regards raising Peacocks... have you ever heard one scream in the night?
It is positively maniacal and quite creepy.

Regards swans I've read that there is an over abundance of mute swans, an
imported exotic, in the Delmarva (Delaware, Maryland, Virginia) estuaries
such that they have become a nusance and an enironmental problem.  There is
an ongoing court battle regards having Fish and Game in the various states
kill them all off.  Perhaps a swan hunt/swan drive???
