[Sca-cooks] Royal authenticity

We know sekanjabin is period--it's mentioned by al-Nadim in the 10th 
century and is still around. The question is whether it was used as a 
beverage in period or only as a medicinal. Avraham was saying that 
"we know" it wasn't used as a beverage; I was saying that we don't 
know whether or not it was used as a beverage.
