Ah, but you can get recipes from "way back then" so easily ... seriously,
the newest Jessica's Biscuit catalog has several '50s cookbooks. And then
there's my mother's 1948-ish copy of Joy of Cooking, which I intend to
inherit eventually.

Events, well, that would depend on (a) how many participants actually
remember the '50s, and (b) whether you're doing the good parts version.
