[Sca-cooks] Sugar Plums

That is sugarplum (no space) and they are a confection related to comfits
from the 17th Century.  The specific confection is first referenced around
1660-70, but a more general use of the term appears in 1608.

All I can think of is that I remember reading a book about sugar plums
dancing in their heads......lol

Wern't they a confection of some sort in the mid 1800's? I could be way off
base here.
