In case inquiring minds want to know the problem with resins, like camphor, frankincense & myrrh:
 
>From what I can tell, although some of the more radical, risky older herbals (young enough to be factual--definitely not period) use them in teas and such, not that resins are necessarily immediately poisoness, but are very hard on the kidneys.  Definitely counterindicated for internal use.
