We always called it "kitty marijuana".
I had some stuff growing in front of my house when I was a teenager that
produced a similar effect on my cats. I don't believe it was actual catnip
(though this was twenty-five years ago). It was very small and low-growing,
with fleshy, hairy leaves and an almost skunky smell. Anyone know what it
might have been?
