Note that, as is usually the case, the comments on MacWaffles have 
absolutely no basis in fact; MacWaffles having been based on 
prevailing industrial standards that long predate the introduction of 
MicroSyrup's aggressive promotion of alternative methods whose sole 
claim for redeeming social value is price and marketability. This 
arrangement has driven several smaller waffle companies, which had 
nonetheless made significant contributions to waffle development 
since the introduction of the technology, out of business in the past 
few years.

Since then, in an attempt to survive this outside threat, MacWaffles 
have adopted a recipe that is more compliant with MicroSyrup's 
heterodox standard, but lifelong users of MicroSyrup products, in 
their ignorance and prejudice of recipes they don't comprehend, 
continue to make disparaging, but false, claims about MacWaffles.
