Note that, as is usually the case, the comments on MacWaffles have
absolutely no basis in fact; MacWaffles having been based on
prevailing industrial standards that long predate the introduction of
MicroSyrup's aggressive promotion of alternative methods whose sole
claim for redeeming social value is price and marketability. This
arrangement has driven several smaller waffle companies, which had
nonetheless made significant contributions to waffle development
since the introduction of the technology, out of business in the past
few years.
Since then, in an attempt to survive this outside threat, MacWaffles
have adopted a recipe that is more compliant with MicroSyrup's
heterodox standard, but lifelong users of MicroSyrup products, in
their ignorance and prejudice of recipes they don't comprehend,
continue to make disparaging, but false, claims about MacWaffles.
